2014 Tucson Shovel-nosed Snake Float

2014 Tucson Shovel-nosed Snake
November 9, 2014
Beach Volleyball Court(Across from Congress)

Join us this coming November for the 5th Annual Tucson Shovel-nosed Snake Float. This year, as always, we will be representing the Tucson Shovel-nosed and the Cactus Ferruginous Pygmy Owl. However, watch out for a cameo appearance by one of our other threatened or endangered wild neighbors, more information to come on that. This is the fourth year for the Shovel-nosed float and we look forward to welcoming many new participants. We invite any and everyone that wishes to join us this year, we are open to all. We are simply conscious minded individuals that care enough to represent for local threatened species. Our entourage shall include but will not be limited to the 30ft+ shovel-nosed float, Pygmy Owl masks, face paint, awesome signs and art. That being said, the most wonderful part of all is the people that come out to make it happen every year. .

The All Souls Procession is a wonderful event that embodies much of what makes Tucson a great place to live. In a similar way the Sonoran desert and the threatened species that we march for symbolize the uniqueness of Tucson and its surrounding areas. As members of this community we have taken it upon ourselves to help protect and preserve what we love about our desert home, join our efforts this November at the 2014 All Souls Procession.
